The people behind PourHouse
We are Cassie
and David.
PourHouseLife is what happens when the route becomes the story.

We are real people building freedom as we see it.
We did not plan a retirement. We planned one summer away. Unfortunately, a cancer diagnosis changed the shape of that pause; our old script never reclaimed us. For the past several years, our unconventional lifestyle has remained as a grand experiment.
We no longer vacation. A vacation is a break from daily routine. We have shredded routine.
We dream together, sometimes years in advance, filling Google Maps and scribbled notebooks with possibilities. David plans much of the route, finds wild camping, and manages PourHouse. Cassie navigates, manages the social calendar, and keeps us connected to our community. Reservations are often the only schedule—and in PourHouse, even those are becoming more rare.
PourHouse was also the name of our boat. Today it is our Revel and our mobile base: bed, bathroom, refrigerator, food, power, and the freedom to immerse ourselves in places rather than commute in and out of them. Along the way, we make a hobby of visiting the taverns, coffee bars, wine shops, and other businesses that share the PourHouse name.
We share our stories to inspire others—Go small. Go now. We’ll see you on the road.
